Following overnight heavy rainfall in the upstream catchment areas of Gandipet, both Osmansagar and Himayatsagar reservoirs near Hyderabad are experiencing renewed inflows via the Musi and Esi Rivers respectively . The water levels have steadily risen since the early hours of Saturday, July 19, prompting officials to ramp up monitoring efforts.
As per the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), the reservoirs’ levels as of 6 AM today are:
