HACA brings back sparkle through sale of crackers
Instead of limiting people to pre-orders, the association is opening its doors wider than ever before

Hyderabad: The streets of Hyderabad are beginning to glow with diyas, lanterns, and the unmistakable buzz of Diwali. But for lakhs of families, the festival of lights truly begins only after a visit to the Hyderabad Agricultural Co-operative Association (HACA).
For the past 44 years, HACA has been more than just a government undertaking. It has been the trusted friend of the twin cities and suburbs, bringing joy to lakhs of consumers with its simple promise: safe, affordable, standard-brand crackers from Sivakasi, sold not for profit, but for the spirit of celebration.
This year, HACA is adding a twist to its tradition. Instead of limiting people to pre-orders, the association is opening its doors wider than ever before. At six sprawling super bazaar-style stalls at NTR Stadium, near Indira Park, the families can now walk in, wander through aisles of colorful cracker boxes, and choose their favorites - from sparklers for the little ones to dazzling sky-shots that light up the night.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. The stalls will be open 24 hours a day from October 16 to 20 this year, ensuring that no matter when the festive spirit strikes - late at night or in the crack of dawn — Hyderabadis can join the celebration. Every year, HACA sells only the crackers requested by the consumers.
