TechnipFMC has commenced manufacturing operations at its newly constructed unit within the GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Limited (GHASL), a wholly owned subsidiary of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL). The development signifies growing momentum in Hyderabad’s aerospace and energy manufacturing corridor.

The facility, spanning 1.02 lakh sq ft on 4.11 acres, is situated within the GMR AeroCity Hyderabad campus. It is built to support the research, development, and production of precision-engineered components and equipment for subsea and other energy sector applications. TechnipFMC’s operations at this site will focus on high-end manufacturing tailored to global energy infrastructure demands.

GHASL is part of GMR’s broader infrastructure initiative to build a connected, industrial ecosystem adjacent to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Speaking on the occasion, GMR Airport Land Development CEO Aman Kapoor stated that the addition of TechnipFMC enhances the value proposition of AeroCity Hyderabad as a hub for international industrial players. He highlighted the facility’s integrated infrastructure and connectivity as key drivers for business growth.

Located within a notified Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the TechnipFMC plant is eligible for a range of operational benefits, including tax incentives, 24x7 utilities, dedicated security, streamlined asset management, and access to warehousing and logistics solutions. The plant’s proximity to major transport corridors and cargo terminals ensures uninterrupted access to domestic and international markets.

TechnipFMC joins a cluster of major global firms operating out of GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park, including Schneider Electric, Amara Raja, SAFRAN Engine MRO, and Pratt & Whitney. The company's presence is expected to deepen Hyderabad’s standing as a high-tech manufacturing destination.

With operations spanning traditional and renewable energy, TechnipFMC brings expertise in advanced technologies aimed at supporting global energy needs. The company continues to invest in sustainable initiatives such as floating offshore wind platforms, hydrogen-based systems, and carbon removal solutions, further aligning with global energy transition goals.

GMR AeroCity Hyderabad, developed across 277 acres, includes build-to-suit industrial plots designed for aerospace, defense, and precision manufacturing sectors. The zone includes India’s only airport-based Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ), providing manufacturers with integrated logistics and supply chain advantages.

Beyond industrial growth, GMR AeroCity Hyderabad plays a significant role in employment generation. With entities like GMR MRO, training institutes such as the GMR Aviation Academy, and hospitality and logistics hubs, the ecosystem supports job creation across multiple verticals. Collaborations with educational institutions ensure the steady availability of skilled labor tailored to aviation, engineering, and logistics sectors.
