Fortune Hospitality, global partners drive mega tourism push in Telangana
Telangana signs Rs 1,200 cr MoUs to build india’s first artificial beach, wellness retreat & eco-adventure hub

Hyderabad: Telangana took a significant step toward emerging as India’s next major leisure, wellness and adventure tourism hub with the signing of three major MoUs worth overRs1,200 crore at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. The agreements, finalised in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, IT and Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and Fortune Hospitality Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Ramakrishna, bring together leading partners from Spain, the Maldives and Ahmedabad to spearhead a new wave of experiential tourism development.
The first project marks a national milestone, with Telangana set to develop India’s first artificial beach near Himayatsagar. The MoU, signed with Fluidra of Spain along with Damera Infra and CFS Fortune Hospitality, will see an investment ofRs800 crore to create a world-class leisure destination offering a sea-like experience, entertainment zones and premium wedding venues. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy described the initiative as a pioneering effort that reflects the state’s ambition to match global standards in leisure infrastructure.
A second MoU was signed with Atmosphere Core, a Maldives-based hospitality group, to establish an international wellness retreat near Himayatsagar. With an investment ofRs300 crore, the project aims to position Hyderabad as a premier global wellness destination, offering a blend of Ayurveda, naturopathy and therapeutic treatments alongside modern wellness experiences.
The third agreement, inked with Lallooji & Sons (LJS), renowned for their large-format tourism projects including the Kumbh Mela, will bring a luxury glamping and eco-adventure destination to Kotwalguda through an investment ofRs106 crore. The project will feature high-end glamping experiences, trekking, bungee jumping and other adventure activities aimed at attracting both domestic and international tourists.
Together, the three projects represent a combined investment exceedingRs1,200 crore and are expected to generate more than 2,500 direct and indirect jobs.
