As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign), district authorities organized a special awareness programme during which a series of anti-drug posters were formally released. The event was led by the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), Dr. J. Sandhya Kiran Mai, along with programme officers and medical staff.

On this occasion, Dr. Sandhya Kiran Mai administered a pledge to all medical staff, emphasizing the collective responsibility of healthcare professionals in preventing and combating drug abuse. She highlighted the growing threat of substance addiction and urged staff to actively participate in awareness and prevention initiatives.

Following the pledge, the DMHO conducted an awareness session for the employees of the DMHO office, explaining in detail the harmful effects of drug consumption and the importance of early detection and counseling.

Programme Officers Dr. G. Raju and Dr. Prasoon Rani, along with other medical personnel from the department, actively participated in the programme and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting a drug-free society.

The event concluded with a call to enhance community-level awareness and strengthen preventive measures to protect youth from the dangers of substance abuse.
