District Youth Festival Celebrated in Gadwal; Additional Collector Urges Winners to Bring Glory at State Level.

The district-level Youth Festival, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, was held on Tuesday at Balabhavan in Gadwal to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Additional Collector Narsing Rao, who attended the programme as the chief guest, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp and encouraged participants to uphold the district’s reputation by excelling in the upcoming state-level competitions.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Collector said that the youth festivals provide an excellent platform for young talent to showcase their abilities. He urged the district-level winners to strive for excellence and bring recognition to Jogulamba Gadwal at the state level. Drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, he advised youth to stay focused on their goals and work tirelessly until they achieve success.
The festival featured a wide range of competitions including folk dance, folk songs, poetry, story writing, drawing, elocution and science exhibitions. Participants from across the district showcased their skills with enthusiasm and creativity. Winners who secured first and second positions in various events were felicitated with prizes by the organisers.
District Education Officer Vijayalakshmi, District Youth and Sports Officer Krishna, Government College Principals Veeranna and Krishna, along with several staff members and students, took part in the programme. The event concluded with a message of motivation and encouragement for the youth to continue honing their talents and contributing to the district’s growing reputation.
