Venkatapuram mandal alone recorded 255mm of rainfall till 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Emergency teams have been placed on standby, and entry to the waterfalls area has been restricted until further notice.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has placed Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Jayashankar Bhupalapally districts under a 24-hour rainfall alert, anticipating more showers in the region.
