Hyderabad: Renowned poet and lyricist Ande Sri, the creator of the famous Telangana State Song “Jaya Jayahe Telangana,” passed away in Hyderabad on Monday at the age of 64. This morning, Ande Sri was found lying on the floor of his residence. Family members quickly rushed him to the state-operated Gandhi hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival, according to officials. He has three daughters and a son. Ande Sri, born in 1961 in Rebarthi village of Siddipet district, became a prominent figure in Telugu literature. His real name was Ande Yellaiah. Ande Sri started his life as a shepherd. He worked as a construction worker. Ande Sri excelled as a poet without any schooling.
