Adventure Club Of Telangana Asks For Resource Agency Status

Hyderabad: The Adventure Club of Telangana State (ACTS) urged the State to recognise them as a resource agency of the Tourism department and identify tourist spots for promoting adventure sports in the State. ACTS has collaborated with Sports Village to promote all disciplines that fall under the umbrella of adventure sports, across the State.

ACTS founder K Ranga Rao, co-founder Bajrang Shah, and Joint Secretary Arif along with Sports Village CEO Mohammad Shamsuddin met the State Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao recently. During the meeting the team informed the Minister about the activities undertaken by the Club.

An official press release said that ACTS has urged the Minister to recognise them as a resource agency of the Tourism Department so that they can work together to boost the club’s activities, including mentoring students. They also informed the Minister that adventure sports clubs can be engaged to promote adventure sports at identified tourist spots. The release mentioned that the minister has responded positively to recognising and promoting adventure sports. He underscored the importance of promoting eco adventure tourism in Telangana and complimented ACTS for hosting Climbing and Speed Bouldering Championship for the Sports Climbing CM’s Cup, scheduled from January 8 to 12, 2025.

Meanwhile, ACTS founder Ranga Rao called for boys and girls aged between 18 and 30 years to enroll their names for taking up adventure activities at tourist spots, hilly terrains, waterfalls and forts

of Telangana.
