ABD expands Telangana Hub with automated PET facility

Hyderabad: Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd. (ABD), India’s largest domestic spirits company by volume, has commissioned a state-of-the-art PET bottle manufacturing plant at its integrated facility in Rangapur, Telangana. With an annual capacity exceeding 600 million bottles, the new facility will cater to a substantial portion of ABD’s packaging requirements, reinforcing its supply chain and profitability.

Developed with an investment of around Rs115 crore, the unit enables in-house PET bottle production, cutting reliance on external suppliers, reducing logistics costs, and enhancing operational efficiency. The Rangapur campus is ABD’s largest integrated alcobev hub, housing an ENA distillery, an IMFL bottling unit, and an upcoming single malt plant.

The newly commissioned plant features highly automated robotics-based packaging, Japanese energy-efficient equipment, and advanced recycling capabilities, making it a benchmark in sustainable manufacturing.
