Lyon, France — WWE SmackDown (Aug. 29, 2025) delivered a blockbuster night from LDLC Arena as Sami Zayn defeated Solo Sikoa to win the United States Championship, while John Cena confronted Logan Paul ahead of their Clash in Paris showdown.

John Cena vs. Logan Paul War of Words

Logan Paul opened the show to heavy boos, bragging about his mainstream deals and calling himself a “disrupter.” John Cena interrupted to thunderous chants, calling Paul “stupid” and a “wannabe” who refuses to understand the wrestling business. Cena promised to humble Paul in Paris, ending with a heartfelt fan interaction before leaving Paul seething.

Women’s Division Chaos

Alexa Bliss def. Chelsea Green – After Alba Fyre ambushed Charlotte Flair backstage, Bliss battled Green in a singles match, winning via roll-up. Post-match, Green and Fyre laid out both Bliss and Flair.

Michin def. Kiana James – A lightning-quick roll-up win for Michin, followed by a beatdown from James and Women’s U.S. Champion Giulia.

Street Profits Earn Tag Title Shot

Street Profits def. Melo Don’t Miz – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins earned a WWE Tag Team Title opportunity at Clash in Paris. The Wyatt Sicks appeared post-match, staring down the Profits.

McIntyre–Orton Tensions Explode

Drew McIntyre accused Randy Orton of siding with Cody Rhodes, but Orton called Drew a “prick.” A heated brawl saw Orton hit multiple RKOs on security while McIntyre narrowly escaped a punt kick.

Main Event – Sami Zayn Wins U.S. Championship

Sami Zayn def. Solo Sikoa (c) – Zayn survived multiple Spinning Solos and interference from The Bloodline, while Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu neutralized the chaos. Zayn landed three Helluva Kicks to pin Sikoa and claim the United States Title.

The show ended with Zayn celebrating in front of the roaring Lyon crowd and fireworks erupting as he held his first U.S. Championship.
