Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma join Team India for the Australia white-ball tour; Shubman Gill leads the ODI squad in a new leadership era.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma spotted at Delhi Airport as Team India departs for the Australia white-ball series led by Shubman Gill.

The white ball campaign of Team India in Australia has been officially started! The star batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were seen at the airport in Delhi early on Wednesday morning when they were leaving with the team for the upcoming tour of three ODIs and five T20s series in Australia.
This trip brings Kohli and Rohit back to the international cricket arena after their break post India’s Champions Trophy win earlier this year. But then in a major leadership change, Shubman Gill will lead the ODI team which means the transfer of power in Indian cricket has begun.
🏏 Team India Departs for Australia
The 50-over match series kicks off at the Optus Stadium in Perth on October 19, with the second and third matches taking place on October 23 and October 25, respectively. The T20I series will be held from October 29 to November 8 and will take place in different cities in Australia.
Among the players who appeared at the airport, much to the delight of the fans, were Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Prasidh Krishna.
⚡ Leadership Transition: Shubman Gill Takes Charge
BCCI's Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar has confirmed that there will be a transition in leadership with Shubman Gill taking over the captaincy for ODIs and Rohit Sharma being a specialist batter. This change comes on the heels of Rohit and Kohli announcing their retirement from T20Is after India's World Cup triumph in Barbados and their drawing back from Test cricket earlier this year.
