Many high-profile Indian Premier League teams have made some important trades to strengthen their squad heading towards the next season, before being required to honour the retention deadline set for the year 2026. Several high-profile player transfers came into effect-across various teams- for the official release following the same.
Ravindra Jadeja Is On the Move To Rajasthan Royals
Ravindra Jadeja, the seasoned all-rounder and previous captain of Chennai Super Kings, will don Rajasthan Royals' uniform after a successful trade took place.
Jadeja, who has spent up to 12 full seasons under the Chennai Super Kings outfit and who has played over 250 games of the IPL, will play for RR, at a revised league fee of ₹14 crore (as against the earlier fee of ₹18 crore).
Sanju Samson Joins Chennai Super Kings
Rajasthan Royals captain and India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson has been traded to Chennai Super Kings at his existing fee of ₹18 crore.
One of the league’s most experienced players, Samson has featured in 177 IPL matches. CSK becomes the third franchise of his career after RR and Delhi Capitals.
Sam Curran Traded to Rajasthan Royals
England all-rounder Sam Curran will move from CSK to RR at his current fee of ₹2.4 crore.
The 27-year-old has played 64 IPL matches and previously represented Punjab Kings before joining Chennai.
Mohammed Shami Heads to LSG
Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami has been traded from Sunrisers Hyderabad to Lucknow Super Giants at his existing fee of ₹10 crore.
Shami, a Purple Cap winner in 2023, brings over a decade of IPL experience, having played 119 matches for five different franchises.
Mayank Markande Returns to Mumbai Indians
Leg-spinner Mayank Markande will rejoin Mumbai Indians after a trade from Kolkata Knight Riders.
Markande, who started his career with MI, moves at his existing fee of ₹30 lakh and has taken 37 wickets in 37 IPL games.
Arjun Tendulkar Moves to Lucknow Super Giants
Bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar has been transferred from Mumbai Indians to LSG at his current fee of ₹30 lakh.
Arjun debuted for MI in 2023 after being first picked in the 2021 auction.
Nitish Rana to Represent Delhi Capitals
Left-handed batter Nitish Rana has been traded from Rajasthan Royals to Delhi Capitals, retaining his league fee of ₹4.2 crore.
Rana has played over 100 IPL matches and captained KKR in 2023.
Donovan Ferreira Returns to Rajasthan Royals
All-rounder Donovan Ferreira returns to Rajasthan Royals after a trade from Delhi Capitals.
As part of the trade, his league fee has been revised to ₹1 crore from ₹75 lakh.
