IPL 2026: SRH Announces Retained and Released Players; ₹25.50 Crore Purse Left

Sunrisers Hyderabad has publicly announced the list of players it will keep and those it will let go for the IPL 2026 mini-auction, with all teams having to submit their final lists to the BCCI by November 15. SRH, which could not make it to the playoffs in IPL 2025 after finishing sixth and winning only six out of 14 matches, will take part in the auction with a new squad strategy along with a huge amount of money.
The franchise has gone for a balanced mixture of experienced players and young talent with potential as it looks to rebuild for the next season after an inconsistent title defence in 2025.
Released Players
SRH has let go of several names ahead of the mini-auction, including Mohammed Shami, Adam Zampa, Rahul Chahar, Wiaan Mulder, Abhinav Manohar, Atharva Taide and Sachin Baby.
Retained Players
The franchise has chosen to back its core group featuring captain Pat Cummins, alongside key performers Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen, Harshal Patel, Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Other retained players include Aniket Verma, R. Smaran, Harsh Dubey, Kamindu Mendis, Brydon Carse, Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga and Zeeshan Ansari.
Purse Remaining
Sunrisers Hyderabad will head into the IPL 2026 mini-auction with ₹25.50 crore in their purse, giving them ample flexibility to strengthen key areas ahead of the new season.
