The star player of Team India-Rohit Sharma has once again proved he is a hundred percent for Indian cricket. After BCCI’s ultimatum that the senior players will have to play domestic cricket, Rohit has agreed to represent Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy knockout stage.
Post ODIs series with South Africa, well after the last match Rohit will go to Indore to Mumbai and help them in the knockout matches. In the opinion of the specialists, this action has given a big advantage not only to Mumbai but to Indian cricket as a whole.
Earlier, Rohit had already given his word to contest in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, and now he has gone one step further by allowing himself to play in T20 domestic tournament too.

Mumbai registered total control over the league part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Lucknow by winning each and every match and thus taking the top position in Elite Group A with 16 points. This guaranteed them a place in the knockout stage to be held from December 12-18 at Indore.
Rohit currently involved with the South Africa ODI series will make his way to Indore right after the series decider in Visakhapatnam on December 6, according to The Times of India.
MCA Verifies Rohit’s Persuasion
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced the official statement confirming the presence of Rohit.
A senior officer of MCA said:
“Rohit has shown interest on his part to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali knockout matches for Mumbai.”
Significantly, Rohit Sharma last played the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy during the 2011-12 season which was nearly 15 years back.

Rohit and Kohli are on the same page of playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, however, Rohit’s extra decision to compete in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is being seen as a good boost for Mumbai cricket and Team India.
