Rockstar Games may soon release updated versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the yet-to-launch Nintendo Switch 2, according to recent online leaks and rumors. While the developer has not confirmed any details, sources suggest the new editions could arrive as early as this month.
Originally launched in October 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Red Dead Redemption 2 remains playable on current consoles through backward compatibility. However, it has never received a dedicated next-gen upgrade to leverage the enhanced hardware of newer systems.
