PBKS Full Squad, IPL 2026: Complete Punjab Kings Players List After Auction

Punjab Kings made their entrance into the IPL 2026 mini-auction with pretty much little room for maneuver and they were having the second-lowest purse of all the franchises which was ₹11.50 crore. Thus, PBKS having such a low budget planned cautiously, being nearly inactive in the early rounds of bidding and making only few selective additions to upgrade their squad.

Franchise was the first to move in the accelerated round, signing the Australian batting all-rounder Cooper Connolly for ₹3 crore. Connolly who is a left-handed batter as well as a slow left-arm orthodox bowler caught the attention of the Kolkata Knight Riders prior to PBKS outbidding them to acquire his proficiency.

Then in the auction, Punjab Kings contacted their pace attack by taking the Australian fast bowler Ben Dwarshuis for ₹4.40 crore. The franchise further increased their local strength by making the signing of Pravin Dubey and Vishal Nishad at the base price of ₹30 lakh each.

Shreyas Iyer leading the side, PBKS had a phenomenal IPL 2025 season, which eventually made them the second-best team after they were defeated by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a riveting battle of six runs. The season was a watershed year for the club as they made it to the playoffs and finals after a ten-year dry spell.

Before the 2026 auction, Punjab Kings took the route of retaining most of their core squad which meant stability. The Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell who was not only affected by injury but also was not able to deliver good performances was the most talked-about release. Similarly, wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis was also released.

PBKS with few changes and a solid core will strive to continue with the momentum from the previous season and hence aiming at a deep run in IPL 2026 once again.
