PSL 2026 will run from March 26 to May 3, overlapping with IPL, promising thrilling T20 action, top players, and exciting matchups for cricket fans worldwide.
PSL 2026 Kicks Off March 26 with 8 Teams and Auction

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday announced the official dates of the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). These are to run from March 26 till May 3, 2026; traditionally the tournament was held from February to March; but due to international ICC events, the tournament has been shifted to later dates for the past two or three years. This time around, while last year, the ICC Champions Trophy postponed PSL to March, this year, in February 2026, the T20 World Cup will bring about yet similar arrangements.
Even though the change was good for the international commitments in terms of player availability, challenges have evolved in its own context. So in effect, the PSL has been scheduled to run together alongside the IPL, affecting television ratings and be the attendance. Many key players usually do rate the IPL above all, so PSL would have to do with some half-interacted international line-ups.
New York-the PSL Roadshow-Mohsin Naqvi did an interview confirming international series might be rescheduled from March and April to avoid clashes intra-month. Pakistan had short-listed to perform two Tests, three ODIs, and T20s in the interim.
6January2026 has been locked in as the date for the auction of two new franchises. This year, it will witness more tension and drama in the road for the tournament from a six-sided league to an eight-sided league for an increased number of players. It will enable multiple new players to join a new team in PSL, making it the one to watch in the cricketing season for the domestic teams and international players.
A lot of good stuff is on the plate for the next PSL tournament-a fierce tussle between two new base market teams, high-octane cricket to bring down the walls of ICC rules, and the usual nail-biting thrill-the hunt to cupglory, the IPL season already begun.
