Kolkata Knight Riders have announced their complete list of retained, released and traded players ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction. Here’s the full squad update, purse remaining and slots available for the two-time champions.

Mini auction for IPL 2026 is early December and: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) finalized their retention list on the deadline of November 15. A list was formally submitted by franchises to the BCCI, pushing KKR to make bold decisions as they adapt under Ajinkya Rahane following the reshaping of their squad.
Major Exits: Major KKR Stars Released
The senior set of players let go of were Andre Russell, Anrich Nortje, Quinton de Kock, and the much-beloved Venkatesh Iyer. Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz and English all-rounder Moeen Ali were released to change the bunch for a new balance.
Moreover, leg-spinner Mayank Markande's trade-off was completed with Mumbai Indians.
Retentions of Core Groups by KKR for the IPL 2026
Although the exits are confirmed, Sunil Narine, Rinku Singh, Rovman Powell, and Umran Malik will be part of the strong core group of Knight Riders. Captain Ajinkya Rahane still leads the retained unit, with the likes of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Harshit Rana, and Varun Chakaravarthy as promising names along with him.
