The IPL 2026 mini auction scheduled for December 16 in Abu Dhabi is nearing and among the uncapped Indian players who are going to be there are the ones who might really cost a fortune in bidding. With the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2025–26 finishing only weeks ahead of the auction, the IPL scouts have spotted the rising stars through their performances in the domestic matches.
The current auction has a total of 350 players which consist of 230 uncapped Indians and 15 uncapped overseas players, thus the competition for the few available slots will be the most intense so far. Five uncapped domestic talents whose names are likely to be shouted for at the bidding table are:
1. Auqib Nabi Dar (Jammu & Kashmir)
Auqib Nabi Dar, J&K's pacer, has been the talk of the town regarding the SMAT performance this season. The 29-year-old proved his mettle in the Elite Group B by taking 15 wickets in 7 matches while being able to keep the runs to 7.41 an over. Apart from having already gained the attention of several franchises for trial calls, Nabi is reputed for swinging the new ball and has a solid first-class record of 125 wickets in 36 matches that backs him. With no other pacers in the team other than Indian ones, he is going to be the brightest shining jewel in the auction.
2. Kartik Sharma (Rajasthan)
Kartik Sharma, the young wicketkeeper-batter from Rajasthan, is only 19 years old and has already made a name for himself with an impressive score of 133 runs in five matches with a strike rate of more than 160. His consistent performance in the middle order along with being a good wicketkeeper has made him a valuable player for teams looking for reliable domestic backups. His visibility has been increased due to his performances during Rajasthan's advance from Elite Group D.
3. Tushar Raheja (Tamil Nadu)
Tushar Raheja, the left-handed opener from Tamil Nadu, has been one of the most talented and aggressive batsmen this season. He has amassed 151 runs at a strike rate of 164 in seven SMAT matches, the highest in the 2025 TNPL with a strike rate of 185 and Raheja is expected to be in great demand. The cataclysm of Indian keeper-batters with the trait of explosiveness in the auction might shoot up his market even more.
