After the window closed on November 15, the franchises of Indian Premier League revealed their retention lists for the 2026 season, thereby preparing for the mini-auction which will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The franchises presented the players they want to keep along with the current purse values that are after the cuts due to the salaries of retained players.

With the retention lists to the public, the rosters of the teams in the league have shown significant changes, with the prominent contracts of high value and trades being the most important activities. The following is a complete list of players retained, organized by team along with their corresponding prices.

Rajasthan Royals maintain the nucleus

Rajasthan chose to lock in Yashasvi Jaiswal for Rs 18 crore, followed by Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel for Rs 14 crore each. The team also preserved Sandeep Sharma (Rs 4 crore), Jofra Archer (Rs 12.5 crore), and Tushar Deshpande (Rs 6.5 crore).

Along with those already mentioned, other players to continue are Shubham Dubey (Rs 80 lakh), Yudhvir Singh (Rs 35 lakh), Vaibhav Suryavanshi (Rs 1.1 crore), Nandre Burger (Rs 3.5 crore), Lhuan-dre Pretorius (Rs 30 lakh), Shimron Hetmyer (Rs 11 crore) and Kwena Maphaka (Rs 1.5 crore).

Kolkata Knight Riders keep their stars

The KKR has put forward the name of Rinku Singh for Rs 13 crore and kept Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine together for Rs 12 crore each. Ajinkya Rahane is confirmed at Rs 1.5 crore.

The team also has Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh (Rs 4 crore each), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (Rs 3 crore), Vaibhav Arora (Rs 1.8 crore), Rovman Powell (Rs 1.5 crore), Manish Pandey and Umran Malik (Rs 75 lakh each), Anukul Roy (Rs 40 lakh) and Arjun Tendulkar at Rs 30 lakh.

Lucknow Super Giants confirm broad roster.

Nicholas Pooran, the IPL 2023-retained player, heads the list of LSG's retentions at Rs 21 crore. The team preserved Mayank Yadav (Rs 11 crore), Mohsin Khan, and Ayush Badoni (Rs 4 crore each). The roster contains Rishabh Pant (Rs 27 crore), Aiden Markram (Rs 2 crore), Mitchell Marsh (Rs 3.4 crore), Avesh Khan (Rs 9.75 crore), Abdul Samad (Rs 4.2 crore), Akash Deep (Rs 8 crore), and a bunch of players in the Rs 30–75 lakh range: Himmat Singh, M. Siddharth, Digvesh Singh, Shahbaz Ahmed, Akash Singh, Prince Yadav, Yuvraj Chaudhary, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Arshin Kulkarni, and Matthew Breetzke.

Punjab Kings retain mix of senior and rising talent.

The Punjab franchise secured Shreyas Iyer at a whopping Rs 26.75 crore, with Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal accompanying him at Rs 18 crore each. Besides Marcus Stoinis (Rs 11 crore) and Marco Jansen (Rs 11.25 crore), the combination still exists in the squad. The group of players ranges from Shashank Singh (Rs 5.5 crore), Nehal Wadhera (Rs 4.2 crore), Prabhsimran Singh (Rs 4 crore), and Priyansh Arya (Rs 3.8 crore) to budget signings like Vishnu Vinod (Rs 95 lakh), Xavier Bartlett (Rs 80 lakh) and several players at Rs 30 lakh.

Sunrisers Hyderabad stick with overseas core.

Sunrisers Hyderabad retained the Australian duo having Pat Cummins at 18 crores, Travis Head at 14 crores, and Heinrich Klaasen at 23 crores. Abhishek Sharma also at 14 crores. Ishan Kishan, who has been picked at a price of 11.25 crores, along with Nitish Kumar Reddy (Rs 6 crore), Harshal Patel (Rs 8 crore), and value-range pickups such as Eshan Malinga (Rs 1.2 crore), Jaydev Unadkat (Rs 1 crore), Brydon Carse (Rs 1 crore), and Kamindu Mendis (75 lakh) rounded off the list along with domestic players between 30-40 lakh.

Gujarat Titans surround Gill

Gujarat made Gill the captain with a price of Rs 16.5 crores, and they have also retained Rashid Khan (Rs 18 crore) and Jos Buttler (Rs 15.75 crore). Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj (Rs 12.25 crore) and Kagiso Rabada (Rs 10.75 crore) will be part of the main group.

The franchise has also maintained Sai Sudharsan (Rs 8.5 crores), Prasidh Krishna (Rs 9.5 crores), Sai Kishore (Rs 2 crores), Glenn Phillips (Rs 2 crores), Washington Sundar (Rs 3.2 crores), Rahul Tewatia (Rs 4 crores), Shahrukh Khan (Rs 4 crores) and so on along with a few players who are in the bracket of Rs 30–75 lakh.

Delhi Capitals fortify full-blown balance

DC have Tristan Stubbs and Sameer Rizvi as their retained players for Rs 10 crore and Rs 95 lakh, respectively. KL Rahul is at Rs 14 crore, while Abhishek Porel stays at Rs 4 crore.

This line up incorporates Axar Patel (Rs 16.5 crore), Ashutosh Sharma (Rs 3.8 crore), Madhav Tiwari (Rs 40 lakh), Tripurana Vijay (Rs 30 lakh), Ajay Mandal (Rs 30 lakh), Kuldeep Yadav (Rs 13.25 crore), Mitchell Starc (Rs 11.75 crore), T. Natarajan (Rs 10.75 crore), Mukesh Kumar (Rs 8 crore) and Dushmantha Chameera (Rs 75 lakh). Rohit Sharma is at Rs. 16.3 crores for the season.

Along with, the franchise kept Tilak Varma (Rs 8 crores), Deepak Chahar (Rs 9.25 crores), Trent Boult (Rs 12.5 crores), Naman Dhir (Rs 5.25 crores) and AM Ghazanfar (Rs 4.8 crores).

Moreover, there are Mitchell Santner (Rs 2 crores), Ryan Rickelton (Rs 1 crore) and players from the Rs 30–65 lakh tier.

Chennai Super Kings carry on with transition plan

CSK retained Gurjapneet Singh at Rs 2.2 crore, Ruturaj Gaikwad at Rs 18 crore, and Shreyas Gopal at Rs 30 lakh. Nathan Ellis (Rs 2 crore), Noor Ahmad (Rs 10 crore), Khaleel Ahmed (Rs 4.8 crore), and Mukesh Choudhary (Rs 30 lakh) are in the squad. Others consist of Anshul Kamboj (Rs 3.4 crore), Jamie Overton (Rs 1.5 crore), Shivam Dube (Rs 12 crore), Ayush Mhatre (Rs 30 lakh), Dewald Brevis (Rs 2.2 crore), MS Dhoni (Rs 4 crore) and Sanju Samson at Rs 18 crore through trade.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru maintain core of their senior players

RCB kept Virat Kohli, the iconic player, at Rs 21 crore, Rajat Patidar at Rs 11 crore, and Phil Salt at Rs 11.5 crore.

The roster also features Devdutt Padikkal (Rs 2 crore), Jitesh Sharma (Rs 11 crore), Krunal Pandya (Rs 5.75 crore), Tim David (Rs 3 crore), Josh Hazlewood (Rs 12.5 crore), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Rs 10.75 crore), Yash Dayal (Rs 5 crore), Raskih Salam Dar (Rs 6 crore), Suyash Sharma (Rs 2.6 crore) along with some budget picks of Rs 30-50 lakh.
