The IPL 2026 mini-auction took place in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, and the event did not fail to surprise with the enormous amount of bids as well as the unexpected player movements. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were the center of attention due to the signing of the Australian all-rounder Cameron Green for a whopping Rs 25.20 crore, which is the highest price paid for the entry of any overseas player in a franchise league globally.
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) created a stir by bringing in the uncapped Indian players Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma at a cost of Rs 14.20 crore each. KKR showed interest in the Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana and were willing to pay Rs 18 crore.
