The mini-auction for IPL 2026 is counting down. This upcoming auction in Abu Dhabi, set for December 16, had a total of 1,355 players registering for it, but then after having discussions with the franchises, the BCCI went ahead and chose a pool of 350 players out of which 224 uncapped Indian players will get a chance to show their talent.

The franchises pay a lot of attention to the performances of the players in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy; hence, many of the not-so-popular domestic players have emerged as strong contenders for the auctions of high prices. In this list are five uncapped Indian players, whose names are likely to be in the spotlight at the IPL 2026 auction.

1. Akib Nabi Dhar (Jammu & Kashmir – Fast Bowler)

Pacer from Jammu & Kashmir Akib Nabi Dhar, who is 29, is among the most spoken-of uncapped players before the auction. Being able to swing the new ball, Akib has taken a total of 15 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at a rate of 7.41. The player with 125 wickets in 36 First-Class games, his experience and skill might create a bidding war.

2. Kartik Sharma (Rajasthan – Wicketkeeper-Batter)

The 19-year-old, Rajasthan Royals’ prospect Kartik Sharma, is making a mark as a wicketkeeper-finisher. In five Syed Mushtaq Ali matches, he has scored 133 runs at a strike rate exceeding 160. His mixed skills—meticulous glove work, and the power to play huge shots in the lower order—render him a high-value target.

3. Tushar Raheja (Tamil Nadu – Opener/Wicketkeeper)

Tamil Nadu’s Tushar Raheja is another player who is predicted to draw strong bids from the auction. He was opening the batting in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and he managed to score a total of 151 runs in 7 games at a strike rate of 164. Furthermore, in the Tamil Nadu Premier League as well, he led the chart with an impressive 185 strike rate. His extra wicketkeeping skill increases his worth even more.

4. Anmolpreet Singh (Punjab – Batter)

The seasoned domestic batter from Punjab, Anmolpreet Singh, offers reliability together with his skills. He performed well in all formats of the game, getting 241 runs at a strike rate of 172 in seven matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. His historic performance is one of the reasons why he is the most trustworthy uncapped player this season among others.

5. Ashok Sharma (Rajasthan – Fast Bowler)

The 23-year-old Ashok Sharma, who is a bowler from Wyoming, has turned out to be the main attraction of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy by bowling out 19 batsmen in 7 matches. His ball which comes out at a speed of 140 km/h has earned him the respect of the scouts due to his swiftness, accuracy, and wicket-taking ability—the characteristics that the teams are ready to pay for.
