Chaos Guaranteed: Six Teams Vie for WWE Tag Team Championship in SummerSlam TLC Match
SummerSlam 2025 features an unprecedented Six-Pack TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. See The Wyatt Sicks battle 5 challengers.
SummerSlam 2025: Record-Breaking Six-Pack TLC Match for WWE Tag Team Gold Announced

The WWE Tag Team Championship will be defended in a historic Six-Pack Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) match at SummerSlam, marking the largest field ever assembled for this high-stakes contest. Reigning champions The Wyatt Sicks will put their titles on the line against five formidable challengers: The Street Profits, The Motor City Machine Guns, #DIY, Fraxiom, and Andrade & Rey Fenix.
This groundbreaking announcement comes 25 years after the first-ever TLC match debuted at SummerSlam 2000, pioneered by legendary teams like The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, and Edge & Christian. The return of TLC to SummerSlam for the first time since 2009, and to a Premium Live Event since TLC 2020, underscores the escalating intensity in WWE's tag team division.
The decision to hold this unprecedented six-team TLC match was made by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis following weeks of escalating rivalries and a chaotic title bout between The Wyatt Sicks, Andrade, and Fenix, which saw widespread interference from other SmackDown tag teams.
Among the contenders, three teams — The Street Profits, #DIY, and The Motor City Machine Guns — bring prior TLC match experience to the table. These teams previously clashed in a notable TLC encounter on the April 25 episode of SmackDown, where The Street Profits successfully retained their championships.
With 12 Superstars poised to unleash pandemonium in one of WWE's most brutal and unpredictable matches, the question remains: which team will emerge from MetLife Stadium as the undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions?
