BCCI Trims IPL 2026 Auction List to 350; Quinton de Kock Among New Additions
BCCI trims the IPL 2026 auction list from 1,355 to 350 players, adding 35 new names, including Quinton de Kock, ahead of the December 16 auction in Abu Dhabi.
BCCI finalises 350-player list for IPL 2026 auction; Quinton de Kock added among new entrants.

The IPL 2026 auction is scheduled for December 16, 2023, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, where 350 players will be ultimately revealed. This is a major cut from the original 1,355 registrations, as per a report from Cricbuzz. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also added 35 new players to the final list, among them the well-known former wicketkeeper-batter of KKR and RCB Quinton de Kock.
De Kock, who has recently made himself available for international selection and has also scored a hundred against India, has slashed the fee he asks for to ₹1 crore, which is a half of his previous ₹2 crore base price last season. He was released by KKR after a lackluster IPL 2025 display.
The BCCI stated that the auction would be held at 2:30 PM IST (1 PM UAE time). The event will commence with capped players, arranged according to their specialisation—batters, all-rounders, wicketkeeper-batters, fast bowlers, and spinners—then uncapped players will be selected next. It is interesting to note that Cameron Green has opted to register only as a batsman this year rather than an all-rounder.
The next IPL season is set for February–March 2026, and all ten teams have started to bolster their squads for the 19th edition of the tournament.
