New Battlefield 6 leaks reveal an October release date and confirm no early access for pre-orders. Discover details on the "Phantom Edition" and upcoming open beta.
Battlefield 6: October Launch and No Early Access Revealed in Leak

Electronic Arts' highly anticipated military shooter, Battlefield 6, is reportedly targeting an early October launch with no early access for pre-orders, according to a new leak. This comes just after EA officially confirmed the game's title and teased a devastated New York City, signaling a return to the classic tone of earlier entries like Battlefield 3, moving away from the futuristic setting of 2021's Battlefield 2042.
A reliable leaker, Billbil-kun of Dealabs, has corroborated information from dataminers suggesting Battlefield 6 will arrive on October 10th. The game is expected to be available in two versions: a Standard Edition and a digital-only "Phantom Edition." Crucially, neither version will offer an early access period, a departure from common industry practice for premium editions. The Phantom Edition is anticipated to include additional in-game content, likely cosmetic items.
Pre-orders for Battlefield 6 are slated to begin on July 31st. While European pricing details have surfaced, exact US and other regional prices remain unconfirmed. However, the Phantom Edition is expected to be approximately $30 more expensive than the Standard release.
Adding to the leaked information, Billbil-kun also reports the likelihood of an open beta for Battlefield 6 in August, following extensive closed alpha testing. This open beta would provide players with a chance to experience the game before its official launch.
Fans won't have to wait long for official confirmation. The first trailer for Battlefield 6 was unveiled yesterday, July 24th, and is expected to provide more details, including the official release date and additional game information.
