Battlefield 6 Open Beta is set to run over two weekends this month — August 9–10 and August 14–17 — giving PC gamers an early chance to experience the much-anticipated shooter. Ahead of launch, Electronic Arts (EA) has officially revealed the minimum and recommended system requirements to join the test.

⚙️ Minimum System Requirements

To play at entry-level performance, players will need:

CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600

RAM: 16 GB (dual-channel, 2133 MHz)

Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT / Intel Arc A380

VRAM: 6 GB

Storage: 75 GB HDD

OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)

DirectX: Version 12

Performance Target: 1080p @ 30 FPS on Low settings

🔒 Security Requirements: TPM 2.0 enabled, UEFI Secure Boot enabled, HVCI capable, and VBS capable. These are necessary due to Battlefield 6’s kernel-level anti-cheat system.

💡 Good news: Gamers with PCs from the last 4–5 years should still be able to enjoy the beta at lower settings.

🔥 Recommended System Requirements

For smoother and more competitive gameplay, EA recommends:

CPU: Intel Core i7-10700 / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

♦ RAM: 16 GB (dual-channel, 3200 MHz)

♦ Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT / Intel Arc B580

♦ VRAM: 8 GB

♦ Storage: 75 GB SSD

♦ OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)

♦ DirectX: Version 12

Performance Targets:

♦ 1440p @ 60 FPS (High, Balanced)

♦ 1080p @ 80+ FPS (Low, Performance)

The same TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements apply to ensure anti-cheat functionality.

🎮 Beta Access Outlook

With a relatively moderate hardware demand, Battlefield 6 Open Beta is accessible to a wide range of gaming PCs. EA’s inclusion of both HDD and SSD options gives flexibility, though SSD storage is recommended for faster load times.

The beta test is expected to be one of the biggest multiplayer stress tests of 2025, as gamers around the world prepare to jump into Battlefield’s signature large-scale warfare.
