Dhanteras 2025

Dhanteras is the first day of Diwali. The day is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Dhanvantari, who represent wealth, health, and prosperity. People tidy up and decorate their houses while also purchasing some metals or valuable things. The evening is reserved for performing Lakshmi Puja.

Choti Diwali / Narak Chaturdashi

One day prior to the main Diwali, Choti Diwali is celebrated to commemorate the killing of Narakasura by lord Krishna, according to Hindu theology.
