Lionel Messi Arrives in Kolkata to a Massive Fan Welcome During India Tour

The Goat Tour brought Argentine football captain Lionel Messi to Kolkata. He arrived at 2.26 am on Saturday. A large number of supporters waiting at the airport gave a warm welcome to the Messi. The Argentine ace will take part in different events in Kolkata up to the afternoon. Subsequently, he will fly to Hyderabad.

Lionel Messi, the legendary Argentine football player, has come to India for The Goat Tour. Messi arrived at Kolkata airport in West Bengal at 2:26 am on Saturday. The airport was filled with thousands of fans who came to see their favorite player. The International Arrivals' Gate 4 was packed with people, and they were all shouting "Messi, Messi".

Messi walked out of Kolkata airport through the VIP gate under the protection of heavy security. Besides, Uruguayan Luis Suarez and Argentine player Rodrigo de Paul were also with Messi. The trio went directly to their hotel. Messi's Indian visit will last three days. In addition to Kolkata, he will also travel to Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi.

Fans were eager to encounter Messi and hence he was taken to the hotel through the back gate at 3:30 am due to security concerns. Consequently, fans did not get to see their favorite player at the airport. Subsequently, Messi was assigned room number 730 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. He was on the seventh floor in a suite that was completely sealed off.

Messi will participate in several events in Kolkata. He will play in an exhibition match. He will also participate in an event with Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Bollywood hero Shah Rukh Khan. Messi will virtually inaugurate the 70-foot-tall statue in Lake Town. He will start for Hyderabad at 2 pm . Messi will play a match with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy at Uppal Stadium at 7 pm. Along with Rahul Gandhi, his nephew, ministers and celebrities from Telangana will attend this match.
