The full name of Bharat Vistaar is 'Virtually Integrated System to Access Agricultural Resources'. This digital platform will work in multiple languages and will be directly connected to the Agri-Stack portal and ICAR data. The advantage of this will be that farmers will get detailed information about the weather in a language they understand. According to reports, 4,000 employees in states like Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan are already using the AI chatbot. Now it will be implemented across the country so that farmers can make decisions from sowing to harvesting based on data.
According to the report, (REF.) the biggest advantage of this AI-powered platform will be that farmers will no longer have to wander around for expert advice. Wadhwani AI is creating a chatbot that will be directly connected to the farmer call center. This bot can answer millions of questions simultaneously. Along with this, the platform will also provide information about ongoing schemes for farmers. Through this platform, farmers will also be able to apply for suitable schemes. This platform will create a direct link between farmers and the government, eliminating the need for intermediaries.
Image recognition will identify pests
A key feature of Bharat Extension is that it will not only provide theoretical knowledge but also detailed information about local experiences. The platform incorporates the practical experiences of thousands of farmers from states like Tamil Nadu. Organizations like Samagra are adding an image recognition feature to this platform. This will allow farmers to take pictures of their crops and identify which pests are affecting them and how to treat them. This AI system will assist farmers through both voice and text.
