In fact, Ministers are engaging in goondaism in the State. There is no serious effort to solve demands for drinking water and irrigation projects, set up new industries and stop migration of workers and creation of new jobs to educate youth in Rayalaseema and other areas - Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Rajampet (Annamayya dist): Giving BJP's southern push and sharpening his attack against YSRCP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday declared the countdown for the fall of the State Government headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and promised an era of development in ‘Vikasit Andhra Pradesh’ under the double engine government in the next five years.

The NDA Government will be installed in Andhra Pradesh after June 4 as the people are totally disillusioned with the thwarting of mandate by the YSRCP by giving a big hand in the administration to the mafia. "In fact, Ministers are engaging in goondaism in the State. There is no serious effort to solve demands for drinking water and irrigation projects, set up new industries and stop migration of workers and creation of new jobs to educate youth in Rayalaseema and other areas," he said at an election meeting organised here in support of NDA candidates. Modi later took part in a roadshow at Vijayawada.

The Prime Minister said the YSRCP Government had no commitment to complete the Polavaram project. The mafias encouraged by the YSRCP are responsible for the damage to Anamaya dam project breach leading to death of many.

He said in the next five years, there will be a lot of infrastructure projects and wanted to find out from people whether they wanted a bullet train from Andhra Pradesh. He promised a tomato storage cluster in Rayalaseema. "There will be a banana processing cluster in Pulivendula. Rayalaeema has talented manpower, mines and minerals and tourism potential. The Kadapa airport will be completed on priority. The government by NDA will usher in a new era of development in the State, he said and called upon the people to give a comprehensive mandate in support of NDA.

Coming down heavily on the Congress, he said the grand old party is encouraging parochial feelings and spreading canards against various regions. "It wants to break the country. The party does not want continuation of welfare schemes like free healthcare, housing programs and scrap CAA and revive Article 370. "Will you support Congress which wants to put a lock on the Ram temple built at Ayodhya after getting favourable judgement by the Supreme Court," he asked.

Speaking at the meeting, BJP candidate for Rajampet Lok Sabha seat N Kiran Kumar Reddy said Modi is a selfless crusader, who is working hard to take the country forward in various fields and called upon the people to vote for NDA candidates to strengthen his hands.

Lok Sabha candidates for Tirupati Vara Prasada Rao (BJP), Kadapa Bhupesh Reddy (TDP), Chittoor Prasada Rao (TDP) were present. TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh and Jana Sena Party general secretary and actor Naga Babu earlier welcomed the Prime Minister.
