Synchrony appoints new India Head

Hyderabad: Synchrony, a financial services company announced the appointment of Rachana Bahadur as global Senior vice president and also Country Head for India. She comes with over 30 years of experience in the financial services and banking industry.

Before joining Synchrony, she was Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where she co-led pan-India operations, and led the India Asset and Wealth Management division. The other financial institutions she worked at include Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rachana Bahadur to our leadership team,” said Gaurav Sehgal, SVP, Human Resources - Asia. “Her proven track record of strategic leadership and commitment to operational excellence across various global markets will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our services and expand our reach.”

Sehgal further informed that at Synchrony, Bahadur will be responsible for leading and managing all of Synchrony’s India presence. “She is tasked with developing and implementing a strategic plan to transform Synchrony India by enhancing process excellence, ownership, driving thoughtful transformation as well as nurturing a collaborative culture. Her appointment reflects Synchrony’s commitment to innovation in global financial services,” the company said in an official release.
