The impact of the heavy rainfall extended beyond just traffic woes. Metro stations and even the Telangana Secretariat were affected, with water seeping into these areas. Additionally, widespread power outages were reported across Hyderabad due to the intense rain.

His forecast proved accurate, with heavy thunderstorms from Sangareddy moving towards areas like Nizampet, Kukatpally, and Lingampally. Balaji emphasised the need for caution, as some areas might experience strong winds, serious thunder, and even isolated hailstorms. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) also provided forecasts, predicting continued rainfall and thunderstorms in Hyderabad and surrounding districts of Telangana. These weather conditions were expected to persist for several hours, with wind speeds remaining below 40 kmph in isolated areas. Emergency response teams in Hyderabad were on high alert, ready to address any potential issues arising from the prolonged inclement weather.

The heavy showers Hyderabad relief from the scorching heat wave but also brought with them challenges such as traffic disruptions and power outages. Residents were urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions as the weather situation evolved.
