Gold futures fall on low demand

Update: 2024-05-09 04:45 GMT

Gold prices on Wednesday declined Rs137 to Rs71,011 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.

On the MCX, gold contracts for June delivery traded lower Rs137 at Rs71,011 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 16,101 lots. Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues and profit booking at higher level.
