Update: 2024-05-04 07:00 GMT

Gold falls, silver remains flat

Gold futures declined Rs100 to Rs70,636 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions. Silver prices fell Rs113 to Rs81,250 per kilogram as participants reduced their bets. On the MCX, gold contracts for June delivery traded lower Rs100 at Rs70,636 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 17,808 lots. Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues and profit booking at higher level.
