Silver futures decline to Rs71,596 per kg

Silver prices on Wednesday fell Rs497 to Rs71,596 per kilogram as participants reduced their bets. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery declined by Rs497 or 0.69 per cent to Rs71,596 per kg in a business turnover of 25,081 lots. Globally, silver was trading 1.03 per cent lower at $22.86 per ounce in New York.
