Shares of InterGlobe Aviation on Wednesday tumbled nearly 5 per cent after the company reported a net loss of Rs 3,174 crore for the three months to June.

The stock plummeted 4.67 per cent to Rs 1,627 at the BSE. At the NSE, it tumbled 4.59 per cent to Rs 1,626.45. The company's CEO Ronojoy Dutta said: "Our financial results for the first quarter were severely impacted by the second COVID wave. The number of passengers traveling declined sharply in the months of May and June."
