SIDBI regional office, Lucknow 'Celebrating AKAM @ Udyam Sangyan'

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Regional Office, Lucknow in co-ordination with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI) organised a One day Exposure Visit of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs).

Mumbai, Aug 19 Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Regional Office, Lucknow in co-ordination with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI) organised a One day Exposure Visit of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) to TATA Motors, Lucknow as part of "Celebrating AKAM @ Udyam Sangyan". A total of 30 entrepreneurs representing MSEs participated in the visit. The objective of the exposure visit was to create an awareness regarding best practices, corporate governance, inventory/ cash management, new technology/ products, vendor development, etc. and to understand the working environment of medium and large-scale units and widen the vision of the MSEs to think big, develop linkages which can help them grow, expand through cross learning, enable these enterprises to align themselves with good practices and motivate them to scale-up their enterprises.

Shreekanta Das, Dy General Manager, Regional Office, Lucknow, in his welcome address indicated that SIDBI is giving impetus through its promotional and developmental interventions for creating enterprises and strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the State. Das further indicated that end-to-end digitization process has been developed by the Bank to ensure faster and efficient credit delivery to MSMEs. A session on SIDBI schemes viz. ARISE, STHAPAN, STAR and SPEED was handled by Vikas Balani, AGM, SIDBI, Lucknow Branch. Presentations were made by senior officials of TATA Motors on Safety and Security measures, Quality Control and CSR activities followed by plant visit. Entrepreneurs actively participated during the entire visit and thanked SIDBI for the novel initiative.
