SBI to maintain 14-16% credit & 12-13 % in deposit growth in current fiscal

SBI to maintain 14-16% credit & 12-13 % in deposit growth in current fiscal

Mumbai, May 09: The SBI Chairman Dinesh Kharashas said that the bank will maintain 14-16 per cent growth, deposit growth of 12-13 per cent in the current financial year.

He was talking to media on the sidelines of announcement of the quarterly financial results of the bank here today.

He said that current level of net interest margin looks sustainable going forward.

The bank will look to aggressively build retail deposits. However, he declined to comment anything on if the government has given approval to sell its stake in YES Bank.

He said corporate loan book pipeline stands at a Rs 4 trillion of which 75 per cent from private sector and the balance to come from statye-run entities.

The bank expects to see similar traction in corporate loan growth going forward, he said.
