Nitish daydreaming about PM post: TS BJP

Hyderabad: Taking a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Telangana BJP official spokesperson N V Subhash said Nitish Kumar may meet any leader who supports his prime ministerial ambition desire.

Reacting on the reports that Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar met Congress president Sonia Gandhi to discuss about opposition unity ahead of 2024 general elections, Subhash said Nitish Kumar who enjoyed power with the support of BJP and later severed ties with it before joining hands with his arch rival RJD, can go to meet any person or leader who supports his PM candidature which is his day dream.

The people of Bihar have lost confidence in Nitish Kumar for his "palturam" tactics and there is no doubt that he will again play same game when he failed to meet his dream, he said.

The opposition parties particularly Congress are unable to digest success of the Modi government which has owned the confidence of people , he said adding that opposition parties are trying to defame the image of the party by leveling baseless and unwarranted allegations, Subhash alleged.

Commenting on renaming of Chandigarh Airport after Shaheed Bhagat Singh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said the great patriot was ignored by Congress party which ruled the country for decades after Independence. BJP is the only party which always recognised sacrifices of nationalists who lost their life for independence of India.
